KENTUCKY’S PREMIER COUNTRY MUSIC THEATER GROWING BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS

Highway 62 hasn’t been the same since 2004 when CALVIN RAY and his parents Max and Debbie Johnson built Kentucky’s state-of -the-art Country music showplace and restaurant, “CALVIN RAY’S LIVE MUSIC,” and began to have Country music stars and showcasing new talent on a regular basis. The venue is designed for good family entertainment and dining. Each year, the popularity of the showplace has grown due to the class of entertainment which they host every Saturday night. “CALVIN RAY’S LIVE MUSIC” is being compared to the “Louisiana Hayride” and WWVA’s “Wheeling Jamboree” which were responsible for some of Country music’s greatest legends.
CALVIN RAY and his band, THE BLUE MOON HIGHWAY BAND, work there on a regular basis, except for special road dates. Besides entertaining, CALVIN RAY also manages the showroom and restaurant, as well as scheduling entertainment for the venue.
2007 promises to be their biggest year yet, because of the tradition of featuring the best in live entertainment. They are in the process of setting a host of name acts and up-and-coming talent for the entire year. CALVIN has also been recording a new CD with his producer, Jim Vest, of Hendersonville, TN, to be released to radio worldwide this summer. Because of the success of the venue they are discussing the possibility of adding on to the showroom and restaraunt as well as adding a park and amphitheater for large outdoor shows.
